1. Who we are

Karobar ("we", "us") provides business software to organizations in Pakistan and internationally, including hosted software-as-a-service, dedicated instances, and licensed installations. This policy explains how we handle personal data across our websites and services.

2. Data we collect

  • Account data — name, email address, phone number and organization details you provide when registering or contacting us.
  • Customer content — data your organization enters into a product (for example student records in the School Management System). Your organization is the controller of this data; we process it only to provide the service.
  • Billing data — invoices, payment references and transaction records. Card details are handled by our payment gateways and never stored on our servers.
  • Usage data — log and device information used for security, troubleshooting and service improvement.

3. How we use data

We use personal data to provide and secure the services, process payments, respond to enquiries, send service notifications, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use customer content for advertising.

4. Data isolation & security

Each customer organization's data is stored in its own isolated database. All traffic is encrypted in transit over HTTPS. We take nightly backups with regularly tested restores, restrict staff access to customer data, and log administrative actions to an immutable audit trail.

5. Data retention & export

You can export your organization's full data at any time from within the product. When a subscription ends, data is retained for a limited grace period so you can reactivate or export it, then archived and eventually deleted in line with our retention schedule.

6. Third parties

We share data only with service providers needed to run the platform — hosting, payment processing, email and SMS delivery — under contracts that limit their use of the data to providing those services to us.

7. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us. If your data was entered by an organization using our products (for example your school), we may direct your request to that organization as the data controller.
